Hormel Ingredient Solutions released a new brand of high-quality protein ingredients and partnered with Webspec to make that catalog of products available online with the ability for potential partners to request samples. Our team enjoyed ‘turning ingredients into finished products’ within the home page design while incorporating Hormel brand standards and implementing a seamless integration of a product catalog using WooCommerce.
The Challenge
While Hormel Ingredient Solutions needed users to be able to ‘shop’ their catalog of products, the website does not call for a traditional e-commerce shopping cart. Our team utilized the functionality of WooCommerce to allow for easy catalog management and user interfacing. This framework gave Hormel the ability to add products to a “cart” to request samples without requiring them to process payments like a standard e-commerce shop would.
