At Webspec, we’re proud to set ourselves apart from the competition in our experience, creativity, and broad areas of expertise. Since our humble beginnings, we’ve grown, changed, learned, and spent the time and training required to not only be a jack of all trades, but a master of all business areas necessary to constitute a full-service web agency.
From One Employee to a Full Web Team
Our owner and founder, Jeremiah Terhark, founded Webspec Design in 2001 from his family’s farm in north-central Iowa. A self-taught PHP developer, he started selling websites by traveling door-to-door to sell projects. Since then, the company has reached and passed many milestones, but we still pride ourselves on being an early adapter to new technologies. Jeremiah still has the passion and dedication to helping people improve their web presence that he did when he first got started, and that shows in the advancements the Webspec team has made over the decades.

EDJE
EDJE has been providing web solutions to clients for over 20 years. They provide design and development for websites and mobile apps, specializing in ecommerce solutions and websites for farming and ranching businesses across the U.S. and Canada. They have comprehensive web support plans for their clients so that content adjustments and new pages can be added without the hassle of having to learn to navigate a CMS.
The Design Group
Also a fixture in the Des Moines area design scene for over 20 years, The Design Group specializes in all things brand-related. They help clients reimagine their brand identities and designs to help their brands grow and evolve over time. They can do anything from a brand refresh to entirely new brand concepts, complete with collateral like digital logo files, letterhead templates, brand guides, and print material designs.
BuildThis
BuildThis is a small web design and development agency based out of the Chicago area. They’ve won many local and statewide awards in Illinois over the years, and their team creates user-friendly WordPress websites that can be as simple or as extravagant as their clients need them to be.
