After a rocky year in the world, we’re ready to spread the love and help make 2021 a little brighter! We can’t believe it’s been 20 years since Webspec began. To celebrate our 20 years in business, we’re launching What The Hack—our inaugural hackathon event!
What the heck is a hackathon?
Typically, a hackathon is an event where programmers and other professionals will collaborate over a short period of time to create a new product or project.
For What the Hack, our goal is to partner with local nonprofits to improve their online presence. From free websites and apps to digital marketing strategies, we’re ready to roll our sleeves up and share our skills to give back to local organizations who do so much for our community!
When is What the Hack?
During the weekend of September 24 – 26, 2021, Webspec teams and the nonprofits will power through approximately 48 hours of work on tools our nonprofits will be able to use to help their organizations online for years to come. At the end of the weekend, we’ll have a wrap-up to showcase the work we did and enjoy food and drinks with our nonprofit partners.
How can I help?
Help us spread the word! Do you volunteer or sit on a board of a local nonprofit that needs help with their website, an app, or their digital marketing strategy? Let them know about this opportunity.
We encourage any certified 501(c)(3) to fill out an application. Applications are open until August 13, 2021.
