As Webspec has grown throughout the years, it is always humbling to receive awards on both a local and national level. We have been fortunate enough to receive awards and recognition in many different categories from a variety of organizations and publications. Today, we are excited to announce what might be one of our biggest milestones to date. All of us at Webspec are more than honored to have been ranked at number 2,224 in this year’s Inc. 5000 list for “The Most Successful Companies in America!” This makes us 1 of 31 companies that operate out of Iowa to make the list for 2019.
About The Inc. 5000
Considered one of the most prestigious ranking lists in America, Inc. 5000 is compiled by the highly acclaimed Inc. magazine on an annual basis. To be considered for their rankings, there are a handful of criteria that businesses must meet to qualify:
- Company must be independent and privately held
- Business must be based out of the United States with at least 3 full calendar years of sales
- The company’s 1st year for ranking must take in at least $100,000 in revenue
- The company’s 3rd year for ranking must account for $2,000,000 in revenue
Companies who meet these requirements are then ranked by their percentage of growth within the scope of time. The median 3-year growth rate for the 2018 list sits at 157% with a jaw-dropping aggregate revenue of $237.7 billion.
What This Means for Webspec
The last 18 years have been nothing short of a wild ride. Within the last three years alone, we have nearly tripled the size of our team, expanded our service offerings, and remodeled our entire office space. Much like with any accolade that we’ve received in the past, it’s great to take a quick moment and reflect on how far we have come since this business started in 2001. However, this award serves as a reminder that we have achieved this level of success through hard work, execution, and partnering with some amazing clients throughout the years. Here at Webspec, everyone from clients to team members has played a key role in our journey in getting to this point.
