The Webspec team revealed the grand prize winner of the Game On: Celebrating Our Community contest at our 15 year anniversary celebration Thursday evening. The winner, selected through a public voting process, is On With Life, a not-for-profit organization that joins hands, hearts, and minds to help persons living with brain injury get on with life.
Sara Wilson accepts the grand prize from Jeremiah Terhark on behalf of On With Life.

Local Nonprofits Compete for $5,000 Donation
On With Life was voted as the nonprofit deserving of a $5,000 donation as part of a contest celebrating the community that has supported us for 15 years. The final five nonprofits, announced September 1, were chosen from a large pool of outstanding applicants that stood out as organizations that Webspec owner & founder, Jeremiah Terhark, felt were doing work that was highly impactful in the state of Iowa. Each nonprofit finalist competed as part of a public vote at celebration.www.webspec.com September 1-14.

Courage League Sports provides adaptive recreational programming for all ages and abilities serving the greater Des Moines area. Their vision is simple: EveryBODY Deserves to Play.
The DMARC Food Pantry Network provides healthy, nutritious food to thousands of people in Greater Des Moines every month through its network of 12 partner food pantries and new Mobile Food Pantry.
Freedom for Youth Ministries is on a mission to give hope to youth through the love of Jesus Christ to break bondages, discover their God-given talents, and lead transformed lives with free after school and summer programs for K-12 students, residential services for young adults, and supportive employment training for teens and young adults across Iowa.
The Pet Project Midwest is dedicated to keeping pets with the people that love them and out of shelters through proactive programming and relying 100% on volunteers and donations to do it.
Webspec Owner Awards $5,000 to Hoover Presidential Foundation
Jeremiah personally selected a sixth nonprofit to be awarded an additional $5,000. The Herbert Hoover Uncommon Student Award was awarded to Jeremiah in 2001, aiding him in launching Webspec Design.

“I was excited to revisit the roots of where Webspec came from by donating money to the Hoover Presidential Foundation. Without this organization, I don’t think I would have been able to launch Webspec when I did. This scholarship really helped mold my future,” said Jeremiah.
