Account Manager

Build client relationships as strong as your results

We’re searching for an Account Manager who is ready to use their skills in relationship building and technical knowledge to drive success for our clients’ digital strategies. Someone who is passionate about not only seeing strong results but also building strong partnerships. Account Managers possess a high level of knowledge and experience in technical and marketing strategies and best practices, but also have a strong level of leadership and sales enthusiasm; they are also confident in their communication skills and are integral to the success of the client relationship and the campaign. Account Managers at Webspec are responsible for overseeing a group of client relationships with cross-departmental needs. Whether it’s a web project, design piece, or marketing campaign, these team members drive the process from start to finish to achieve results. Webspec works with clients across all industries and organization sizes; from small businesses to government and enterprise-level campaigns, we customize our solutions to fit the unique needs of our clients as their goals evolve. Account Managers are integral to maintaining a strong ongoing relationship with each client and making sure our team is executing on goals successfully. 

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in web, marketing, project management, or account service
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Mass Communication, English, Public Relations, or other related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to benefit clients and team member interactions 
  • Highly organized and able to balance multiple tasks, projects, and action items at once 
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully managing customer relationships
  • Past experience with current digital or marketing strategies and how to apply them to clients in a wide range of industries 
  • Thorough understanding of core agency service offerings 
  • Experience utilizing core Google marketing platforms, including Google Analytics, Search Console and Tag Manager and how to use these tools to develop and monitor campaigns
  • Familiarity with popular social media platforms and their capabilities as well as how to provide strategic campaign changes based on data 
  • Experience leading a small team of employees, an internal marketing campaign, technical projects, or multiple client campaigns. Agency experience is a plus. 
  • Experience with technical problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Ability to quickly master business processes, operations, and new technology concepts or marketing strategies
  • Applicable experience with SEO, web content management systems, PPC campaigns, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred

A successful Account Manager contributes to the success of our team and our clients by:

Provide thought leadership to the digital marketing team and help with their career development

Serving as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, overseeing work from cross-departmental teams to meet the needs of each unique client campaign. 

Building strong partnerships with our clients centered around mutual respect and open communication

Demonstrating an advanced level of knowledge of all aspects of digital marketing and web strategies and how to apply them to each client within their goals and budget parameters

Maintaining client happiness and retention throughout their contract, providing excellent customer service

Building an awareness of each client and their business and following relevant updates, news, or events 

Adjusting communication styles to fit unique client personalities and preferences

Analyzing monthly reporting to provide strategic direction for each assigned client 

Taking the lead in meetings with the client and other relevant team members, and communicating the goals and significance of reports and progress to clients in meetings and email

Allocating the budget strategically throughout the quarter for optimal campaign success

Strategizing new ideas to help move the client campaign forward

Helping with client sales meetings and proposals

Assisting the Director of Digital Marketing in managing and training the team, as well as serving as a strategic leader in helping the team offer new products or services
