Webview Web-i Smart Camera

The Web-i Smart Cameras
For Surface Inspection

The Web-i series of cameras offer affordable, sophisticated surface inspection in a rugged, compact smart camera platform.

Capable of inspecting virtually any non-patterned web (and pieces), the Web--i is offered in three CCD linescan sensor sizes:  1K (1,024 pixels), 2K (2,048 pixels), and 4K (4,096 pixels).

Pixel rate is 40 MHz, which translates into maximum scan rates for the Web-i as follows:  1K:  35,000 scans/sec, 2K: 18,000 scans/sec, and 4K: 9500 scans/sec.  These camers offer the high scan rates needed for high-seed webs.

Easy to setup, the Web-i can run standalone and reject only those defects you choose, or leave it connected to a host computer via the included USB cable, and get real-time, zoomable defect images in monochrome or false color, detailed defect classification, complete inspection archiving, rollmaps, and easy data export to spreadsheets and databases.
image viewerThe included image viewer provides detailed, zoomable images of each defect.  You can even save defect images as JPEGs separate from the inspection file for other use!
Roll Map

System software produces complete, printable rollmaps of each defect.  Classes of defects are defined by color on the rollmap, and you can simply click on the defect symbol in the rollmap to immediately see the image of that defect!  Complete defect information, including location, width, length, area, type, and other information is displayed and archived as well.

WebScopeFor setup, the Web-i also comes with WebScope, a realtime display of camera output traces to allow easy setup of inspection zones, thresholds, channel of video desired (Main or Small Defect), and pixel compensation. Using WebScope, you can set these items visually.

As mentioned, the Web-i comes with two channels of video, Main and Small Defect.  Main channel is the standard camera output, and Small Defect channel is the Rate-of-Change video output.  Using rate-of-change video, it is possible to enhance very small, high-contrast defects, such that even sub-pixel defects of this type are detectable!  See the Applications page for some examples of what the Web-i can inspect.

Webview Sentinel

The Sentinel Smart Cameras
For Parts Inspection

The Sentinel  cameras can make your part inspection issues go away. Featuring both area and linear sensor arrays, the Sentinel can inspect just about any piece.  Easy to use setup software--once setup, the camera can run standalone, or leave it connected to a computer for archiving images and statistics.  The camera has its own reject output, and can also control lighting.

Sentinel can be equipped with sensor sizes from 640x480 on up to 2000x2000 in area array sensors, and is also available with a 2,048-pixel linear sensor, which is useful for unwrapping labels and inspecting moving objects.

The Sentinel package comes complete with camera, power supply, lens, USB cable, and software.  Use the software to set the camera up, and it can then run by itself, rejecting defective parts. Or, leave the Sentinel connected to the host computer, and view images of all parts, and archive images and details of failed parts.

The included software allows sophisticated part inspection for problems.  Sentinel features theEdu-Key exclusive Edu-Key for instant upgrades and setups via Webview.  Webview can setup your inspection for you, and send you an Edu-Key.  Simply plug the Edu-Key into the camera, and you are ready to inspect!

When connected to the host computer, the Sentinel displays detailedInspecting Pill Blister Packages information about each inspection, including showing graphically where the part failed inspection. These images are archived and time-stamped for later review.

Sentinel is capable of inspecting a wide variety of objects, from the very small to the very large.  Applications include bearings, golf balls, bottles, bags, pills, medical equipment, box fill and placement, and many, many more.  See the Applications page for some examples of what the camera can inspect.
