WEBVIEW Installs Web-i System at Float Glass Manufacturer

March 1st, 2008 -- Webview recently completed an installation of a Web-i system for inspection of cut glass at the end of a float line in a manufacturing plant in the Midwest.  The system automatically finds the edges of each piece of glass and checks for defects.  An output triggers a reject mechanism if defective glass is encountered.

WEBVIEW Introduces Upgraded Web-i Series of Surface Inspection Cameras

February 8th, 2007 -- Webview has introduced a new line of Web-i cameras to replace the Web-i-2K.  The new cameras are available in 1K, 2K, and 4K linescan resolutions, and feature high-speed CCD sensors.  Capability of the new cameras has been increased to include complete defect Region-of-Interest (ROI) imaging, sophisticated defect classification (including by aspect ratio and location on the web), easy data export to spreadsheets or databases, and rollmaps.  The cameras provide a complete surface detection and classification system when matched with a light source and tachometer.  More information is available here.

WEBVIEW Installs Measurement and Defect Detection System at  Battery Manufacturer

September 15, 2007 -- A sophisticated inspection system based upon the Webview 3000 product was recently installed at a  battery manufacturer.  In addition to detecting defects in the stripes which make up batteries, the system accurately measures the width of each band, and compares the registration of each band to its counterpart on the opposite side of the web.

WEBVIEW Sentinel Inspects Silicon Wafers for Liquid Droplets

February 18th, 2007-- Webview has installed its Sentinel inspection system in a new line of wafer etch machines.  The system consists of two Sentinel linear sensor cameras, each inspecting one side of the wafer for liquid droplets.  The challenge was to detect droplets without also detecting the etch pattern on the wafers.  Webview proposed a special geometry which was accepted and now in use.

WEBVIEW Installs WV3000 System at Stretch Film Manufacturer

February 10th, 2007-- Webview has installed a WV3000 system at a stretch film manufacturer.  The system utilizes an 8K linescan camera examining low molecular weight stretch film for holes, gels, and other defects.

WEBVIEW Introduces Sentinel Series of Piece Inspection Cameras

October 4th, 2006-- Webview has introduced a new line of Sentinel parts inspection cameras. Available with either area array or linear sensors, the Sentinel is capable of inspecting product stopped (or strobed) or moving continuously.  The camera contains sophisticated inspection algorithms that allow it to inspect many parts, and once setup, does not need to be connected to a computer.  The camera has a self-contained output for part rejection, and is also capable of operating light sources, both with voltage and strobe control.  More about the Sentinel can be found here.

WEBVIEW Announces Ability to Upgrade Legacy Intec Laser Systems to Full WV3000 Capability

April 7th, 2005 -- Webview has announced a module which will allow an existing Intec laser system to be upgraded to full WV3000 capability at low cost.  Existing Intec systems are very limited since they produce no images, and have significant rack hardware that is obsolete and no longer available.  The Webview system replaces the rack hardware (excepting the power supplies), and integrates a WV3000 front end computer to allow full WV3000 capability, including defect imaging and classification.  The system allows manufacturers to preserve their capital investment in laser systems while expanding their capabilities.
